We will have hand sanitizer available to help keep our members safe and ask that you practice proper social distancing and avoid shaking hands to help keep everyone safe and in top shape for the coming maple season. Something new this year is an online link to preregister for the event (https://forms.gle/4Enz6pv5c32u3TLXA). This will help us know how much food to prepare for everyone. Also this year we are asking that you either mail in your annual membership dues or bring your form and check pre-filled out to deposit in the drop box. Membership cards will be mailed out at a later date, unfortunately no change or assistance will be available at the registration table this year. This year's event will start off with an update from Bryan Hurlbert the Commissioner for the Connecticut Department of Agriculture and will be followed by our business meeting, the formal program will wrap up with some very exciting news from Joe Orefice, the Director of Forest & Agricultural Operations with the Yale Forest. He will fill us in on their recently awarded ACER grant and the support it will provide to Connecticut sugar makers. After the formal meeting enjoy your lunch, meet with our vendors, check out the swap meet and our small scale production demonstration area. If you have any used or unneeded equipment or supplies you wish to sell, bring them along with a printed sign to post on the swap board and clear out those unwanted items.
